Year 10 Aspirational Visit to St Hugh’s College, Oxford University

Twenty five of our young stars in Year 10 visited St Hugh’s College, Oxford University on May 3rd for a presentation on university life and entry requirements, followed by a guided tour from some of the current students there and lunch in their very grand dining hall.

Accompanied by St Hugh’s graduate and Ebbw Fawr ‘Teach First’ Maths teacher Mr Pettifor and Mr Hart the students then took in the sights of Oxford during the afternoon. The experience was a fantastic opportunity for our talented students to visit one of the countries great centres of learning and hopefully they will aspire to attend such a university sometime in the future – they certainly have the talent!
