The Year 8 football team have progressed into the national stages of the Welsh Cup Schools Football competition after winning through their regional final with a dominant display against Oakdale.
After victories in previous rounds over Blackwood, Brynmawr and Tredegar the team were drawn against Oakdale in the final.
The final score was 13-2 to Ebbw Fawr and the boys remain unbeaten this season after a brilliant display of both attacking and defensive football.
Captained by Calen Jones, the goals were scored by Eli King (5), Morgan Davies (3), Matthew Jones (3), Tyler Davies and Nathaniel Williams.
Man of the Match was Keiron Markey.
The draw for the national rounds will be made over Christmas and we look forward to testing ourselves against the best school football sides in Wales.
