Year 9 Welsh Cup Football

The Year 9 football team progressed through the next round of the Welsh Cup after winning a local derby away in Tredegar this evening.

Captained by Callum Foley and playing on a difficult surface the boys quickly adjusted and stamped their authority on the game, maintaining their flowing passing style to which they have become accustomed.

Early goals from Rhys Moylon and Luke Lewis were cancelled out by opportunist strikes from Tredegar to see the score at 2-2 at half time.

The second half saw Ebbw Fawr pull away and further goals from Rhys Moylon and Luke Lewis as well as strikes from Eli King and Kian Greenland sealed the deserved victory. A late consolation for Tredegar made the final score.  6-3.

Man of the match was Callum Weaver.

Well done boys.
