South East Wales County Netball Trials

The U14 and U16 Ebbw Fawr netball girls have been training very hard recently in preparation for the Blaenau Gwent netball trials that have taken place over the past two weeks. This afternoon saw the final stages of the selection process. Throughout the district over 100 girls have been involved in the trial and I am delighted to announce that a total of 14 Ebbw Fawr pupils have been selected to represent Blaenau Gwent at the South East Wales county netball trials on Thursday 26th September (U16s) and Tuesday 1st October (U14s). Therefore the U16 pupils will miss lessons 5/6 tomorrow, please see me if you have any concerns.

The county trials have always been held by the Torfaen district at Cwmbran Stadium, but for the first time Blaenau Gwent are leading the way with Ebbw Fawr Learning Community hosting the prestigious event. Please feel free to pop your head into the sports hall if you’re free between 2-5pm on these dates!!
