This year’s Awards Evening was so popular that two sessions had to be held to accommodate the number of students receiving awards and commendations. Both events attracted a capacity audience in front of invited guests and parents including the Mayor of Blaenau- Gwent Cllr D Bevan who presented the awards.
The following students received the Leader of Learning awards

– Year 9 Ffion Collins
– Year 10 Jennah Akaysi
For the first time the Chris Tamplin Award for Service to the School, named in memory of a former Governor and Branch Chairman of Unison was presented to:
– Year 6 Lucy Pennells
– Year 11 Tiffany Wright
Speaking after the event Chair of Governors Rod Davies said:
“The students are indeed a credit to the school and to their parents, I not only wish to congratulate them but also wish to recognise the outstanding contribution made by the teaching staff at Ebbw Fawr. We now look forward to our end of year results published in August”
