In a highly entertaining Welsh Cup game epitomised by some real quality attacking football, Ebbw Fawr were able to secure a 5-4 victory in front of a large crowd on the 3G pitch against a highly rated Monmouth Comprehensive School.
The goals for Ebbw Fawr came from Callum Joyce, Elai Roberts, Morgan Boulter and a brace from captain on the night Sam Phillips, including the winning goal a couple of minutes from time. Special mentions also go to goalkeeper Kian Evans who made a number of fine saves and defenders Jack Annett and Ieuan Evans who kept the opposition at bay throughout.
