Welsh Baccalaureate

Introduction Within the Welsh Baccalaureate, pupils carry out research, make presentations and help the local and wider community. The components of the Welsh Baccalaureate Challenge Certificate are:
Individual Investigation – Pupils carry out an independent, research project into an area of interest.

Global Citizenship - Pupils demonstrate an understanding of a specific global issue and look to raise its awareness amongst their peers.

Community Challenge – Pupils work in groups to identify, develop and participate in opportunities that will benefit the local community.

Enterprise and Employability Challenge - Pupils work in teams to develop a product or service that demonstrates entrepreneurship.


Why study The Welsh Baccalaureate?

The Welsh Baccalaureate qualification has been specifically developed to meets the demands of employers and universities for independent learners with good transferable skills. It is an excellent qualification to demonstrate these competencies at foundation, intermediate or advanced levels.
